AS always, your very excellent Letters to the Editor section produces much thought and usually topical comment.
I hasten to add your section in the Wednesday August 6 issue was no exception.
I was pleased to see the letter by M. Corrigan on the legal mess of the Mayor’s making concerning the ongoing debacle with Huscorp.
This is indeed the truth of the matter, Greg was advised to the contrary in 2007 and as usual rode roughshod over all objections. Apparently our beloved is the only one who feels he is above all professional advice and as such can do no wrong.
This is certainly another great demonstration of why we must get a new Mayor in the September elections, one who is actually working for the people of the Shoalhaven in the most economical way possible, not costing us hundreds of thousands of dollars from ridiculous decisions, even after advice to the contrary.
Perhaps we can offer Greg Watson another idea. Perhaps he wouldn’t mind paying for any legal costs of his poorly made Huscorp decisions when the full costs come to light.
What a terrific idea that would be and a fantastic way to convince these councillors who feel they are a power to themselves not to do it again. I bet it would a treat.
