Golfing at Worrigee

SATURDAY’S Langford Auto Repairs single stableford saw 66 golfers playing on fast greens at the Worrigee Links with a course in fine condition.

A grade winner was S Buckham with 37 points, B Grade Kirk Brown with 41 and M Jerrett won C Grade with 42 - all three win the pro $30 voucher.

A grade runner-up was Rod Elliott with 37, Nick Venables B Grade with 40 and V Evans had 41 points to get the C grade prize of $20.

Third place in A grade went to Jim Brown with 37 points, B grade Garth Perkins with 39 and C grade B Bowden 40 points to collect the $10 pro voucher.

Ladies’ winner was Sue Earle with 39 points to collect the $10 prize and A Browne got the drive and pitch on the 6th with a fine shot 438cm from the flag.

NTP 6th was won by Rob Walker and Mick Martin got the NTP on the 8th.

The drive and pitch on the 13th was won by V Evans.

The longest drive on the 13th went to K Cole for A grade, Mick Martin won B Grade and V Evans got C grade.

The Culburra Kitchens Eagle Nest on the 8th wasn’t won, the ball count now stands at 48.

Ball winners were R Lydon, R Watts, P Jeffery, R Howcroft, A Forsythe, G Tolman, D Flanagan, Cuka, D Soloman, P Anderson, A Chapman, J Sach, J Black, T McMaster and B Walsh.

Rob’s Thursday Competition - John Rogers from the Moss Vale GC won the $40 pro voucher with a fine 41 points, Shane Bergin won the $20 voucher with 40 points and Jim Brown from Nowra GC got the $10 voucher for third, John Gardiner, Peter Bergin and Jacqueline Johnston won a ball each.

NTP on the 8th went to Shane Bergin and the 17th was won by Jim Brown.

Women’s Tuesday Competition - A single stroke which saw 18 players vying for the prizes.

The winner was Margaret Turner with a magnificent nett 63, second to Annie Hardie with a fine 66 nett and Margaret Watts third with a nett 67.

The club welcomed Jessica Swift for her first ever game of golf.
