Blueprint committees identify priorities

6/08/2008 9:29:00 AM
A NUMBER of Blueprint Shoalhaven committees have been busy implementing projects across the city.

Recently Youth Vision Beyond 2020 was launched in Nowra and Ulladulla, with groups of students from each area to present at the national conference in coming months.

Some sponsorship for the program had been secured but the education and training committee would continue to lobby for financial support.

The Shoalhaven arts and tourism trail was involved in ongoing consultation with the Tomerong community to develop the project.

The arts/heritage concept was agreed on, a location selected and approval being sought from the Tomerong community and Tomerong School of Arts.

The Shoalhaven Wellness committee has identified two priorities in the city, sustainability living and aged care work plan, and formed two sub-committees to focus on each.

The South Coast Marine Industry Group met twice recently and identified a number of priorities also, including skills education and training, business training, facilities and development of marine industry cluster.
