An amnesty for overdue library CDs and books

27/08/2008 9:52:00 AM
WE HAVE all had an overdue library book at some stage in our lives.

From September 1 to November 30, Shoalhaven Libraries will hold an amnesty for all overdue books and other library items.

It is estimated there are more than $200,000 worth of overdue library items still in borrowers’ possession.

Users can return any overdue items throughout the amnesty without penalty regardless of how overdue they may be.

There are 6519 overdue books, CDs, videos and other items still held by library users that could potentially be returned to the library’s stock pool.
